Well it took over three weeks but I did it! I didn’t think I would, nor did I hope to believe I could, but I did it…I won!!
Funny thing is that once I hit the 50,000 word count, instead of feeling elated I experienced a mild sense of deflation. Maybe it was the prospect of having to re-read and revise all those words. Still I have prepared for this in a fun sort of way. I signed up for Sally Quilford’s pocket novel course where she will be teaching the how and the why. It feels good to be going into the course knowing that I have at least the bare bones of a Pocket Novel already written.
